Paxton, MA Project

Scope Of Work

The wish list for this remodel was many but achievable. First thing was to be able to use the fireplace. This challenge meant we needed to take walls down and add support, a laminated I beam in the basement. The fireplace was way too close to walls and cabinets to meet code. Second on the wish list was to expose the beautiful beams in this old house, give as open a concept as possible to the living room and dining area, update the kitchen layout, add an island and paint a custom color in New England colonial palette.

Value

Our clients couldn’t have believed we pulled off everything in their wish list for their budget. They were for the first time able to used that fireplace, gather in their open concept kitchen with all their family and enjoy living in their space for the foreseeable future. The exposed beams give it the wonderful homey rustic feel and the color palette perfect for their home. The value of a candlelight updated kitchen will last a generation with plenty of storage solutions, baking areas, wine storage and affordable luxury for sure!
